Icelandic whaling boss Kristján Loftsson intends to kill at least 140 Fin whales this summer, defying the global moratorium on whaling established in 1986 by the International Whaling Commission (IWC). Iceland, along with Norway and Japan, persists in disregarding international conservation law.

The CPWF flagship, the M/Y John Paul DeJoria, will set sail to the waters off Iceland this summer, and will be manned by brave and committed volunteers prepared to risk their lives and liberty to safeguard the existence of Fin whales. Together with Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK, we will put an end to whaling in Iceland.

Despite facing opposition from the majority of Icelanders, Loftsson persists in his bloodthirsty pursuit with his company, Hvalur hf, Iceland’s sole whaling company.
