In 1986, Captain Paul Watson and his crew struck a major blow against Icelandic whaling by sinking half of the Icelandic whaling fleet in Reykjavík Harbor. Nearly 40 years later, we are returning to confront Iceland’s last commercial whaling company, Hvalur hf, and its owner Kristján Loftsson.
For years, fin whales have continued to be hunted in Icelandic waters despite global outrage, collapsing demand for whale meat, and growing international pressure to end whaling for good. Since 2018, CPWF UK has worked to expose these hunts and stand against the slaughter of some of the largest animals on Earth.
Now, with The Bandero preparing to sail, OPERATION 86 marks the next chapter in that fight.
This collection supports the campaign to oppose Icelandic whaling and defend fin whales from the harpoons of Hvalur hf. Every item helps spread awareness of the mission and supports direct action to protect marine life.
